life with the busy blake.

Recently, Blake has decided that he does not want to be a good little boy like his big brother Cole and go to bed nicely, with a story, a prayer and then tucked in with a kiss and a good night. Not Blake!  He yells at the top of his lungs to get out of this jail that he is in, and because he is the second child and cute and we don't want him to wake his sleeping brother, we sometimes rescue him or sit with him for a bit until he falls asleep. So, I had posted a month ago, that he was able to climb out of his crib, but he did not have the full confidence to drop down to the floor. Well, last night, Josh and I sat downstairs listening to the wailing, when all of a sudden it was quiet, until we hear his door open. That little STINKER! Looking at each other, Josh and I laugh and run to our bedroom, jump in bed, shut out the lights and pretend to be asleep. We are desperately trying to hold in our laughs when we see Blake open our door and come in looking for us. At first he does not see us, and walks into our bathroom.  As he comes back out, he sees me in bed and climbs on in, as if he is going to bed with us! NOT! Josh and I can no longer not laugh, so we jump up, turn the lights back on and ask Blake what he is doing? We tell him it is time for bed in Blakes room and he cutely says, "Uh uh" with a shake of his head in disapproval. We tell him daddy is going to Blakes room so he better go with him, and again, a shake of his head no, then pats the bed next to him, indicating as to where daddy should go, right next to him for bed. Funny Blake, but ya right! Blake also tried to close his eyes and pretend to sleep, but mom and dad stay firm and take the little monkey back to bed. We made sure he was asleep and no more climbing out, but first thing this morning, as Josh was getting ready for work, who greets him downstairs in the kitchen??? Yes, life with Blake! He is lucky he is cute!
