life on the 4th of July

We had gorgeous weather for the 4th of July, which is hit and miss here in the Northwest! Our neighborhood planned a potluck with everyone that started with all the kids meeting in the park, decorating their bikes and doing a little parade on our road. The kids had a blast and instead of Blake riding his tricycle, which I fully thought he would do, he loved being pulled in the bike trailer by Cole! After the parade, the kids played games in the park, busted open a pinata (which Cole broke, disappointing the older kids in line behind him), had dinner and stayed up late to do fireworks. It was nice to be so close to home and hang out with our neighbors! We have some really great families around us!
